Biographie

Timothy Vincent Murphy was born 5 april 1960 in Tralee ( Ireland ) to Eddie Murphy and Mary Murphy, he is one of six children. Timothy began his career in Dublin where he trained in the Focus Theater which produced talent such as Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne. He attended college in Ireland for business and attended UCC in Cork, majoring in Law and Accounting.

Living in Los Angeles, California, Timothy V   Murphy is know for his roles as Galaan in the TX hit, Sons on Anarchy and Ian Doyle in Criminals Minds.

A lifetime member of the Actors Studio, Timothy V Murphy is an award winning stage actor and was nominated for Best Actor in Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Other awards have included best ensemble for The Lost Plays of Tennessee Williams and best revival for the Brecht Musical, Happy End.

Timothy V Murphy was voted " Best vilain in American Television " for his work on Sons of Anarchy.

Timothy also spent time working in construction in New York City and roof laying. He also worked as a bouncer in Dublin, Ireland while he studied acting.

Grew up salmon fishing with his father and two brothers.

Tim has two rescued pit bulls named Madra and Gorm. Madra means dog in Irish and Gorm means blue in Irish.

The play " Stones in his pockets " by Mary Jones was written for Tim.

Tim rides a Harley Davidson Street Bob.

Tim is an avid hiker, he climbs up Mt. Brandon and Caherconree when is home in Kerry, Ireland.

Wrestled an alligator in South Dakota while shooting National Treasure 2.
